Founder's Bio -Melisa Woodburn
Melisa Woodburn is a woman of God. She is an ambitious, mother of two beautiful daughters, and the wife of an amazing man of God. She was born in Jamaica, and sold into Human Trafficking, at age 1 year and 8 months, which resulted in her growing up in Bermuda. She thrived in excellence in school, which was her escape from the child labor trafficking and the physical, verbal, mental, and emotional torture, she had to endure while living at home with her trafficker who illegally adopted her, and completed payments to her biological dad and grandma (dad's mom), when she was 3 years old.
Melisa now resides in Jamaica and travels frequently. She is favored by God and has been blessed by so many people. She enjoys paying it forward with her passion to serve at Human Trafficking Organizations, Churches, and Shelters.
Melisa is a Human and Sex Trafficking Conqueror. She's also conquered a myriad of life's challenges, including, molestation, rape, homelessness, marijuana and alcohol addiction, suicidal ideations, domestic violence, and more. She was being forced to have an abortion 13 years ago, but God gave her a dream the night before the dreaded appointment and her daughter is alive and thriving today. It would’ve been the worst decision she ever made, but God is her hero. God needs the amazing blessing he gave Melisa here on earth and so does she.
She's had a lifelong passion to help others, who have also come up on the rough side of the mountain to survive, heal and conquer. God has called Melisa to infiltrate the global Human/Sex Trafficking Industry to rescue, deliver, and heal His children. Healing Hearts will also be a Resource Hub and a Hotline for victims of circumstances seeking resources, such as; food, clothing, shelter, financial/legal assistance, counseling, medical care, employment, education and so much more.
Melisa is an entrepreneur, an abolitionist, a published author, speaker, and an advocate for change. Her and her husband have published twin devotional journals for Kings and Queens, entitled, "A'GENT OF CHANGE" and "A'ROSE ABOVE HER THORNS". She is called to "Cultivate dreams into Realities". She lives by the Word of God. Melisa's love for God, people, music, film, and her zeal for the Gospel of Christ to reach the four corners of the world, breathes life into every endeavor she pursues.
Entrepreneurship all began for her when she discovered her niche volunteering and working in the Gospel Music Industry in 2014. She began marketing and working at events for Award-winning, International Gospel Recording Artists and Producers. In 2015, God told her to resign from her Call Center job, because He's going to make her a manager. She was then told by someone to stop working for Artistes and start her own business, because her work ethic was amazing. She went on to manage six Gospel Artist, and a Radio Jock. Melisa has managed and been a Publicist to Gospel Artist from the USA, Antigua, Guyana, St. Kitts, Jamaica, Bermuda and the UK.

Melisa is also an Actress, Film/Play Writer, 1st Assistant Director, Film/Photo Editor and Web/Graphic Designer. She is in an upcoming movie and has appeared in 3 Gospel Music Videos; all of which she played leading roles.
She interned at a Christian Television Station and had the opportunity to facilitate an interview with Dr. Alveda King, the niece of the late great, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Melisa has also edited the soon to be released Docu-Series "Rescue Addiction" for Jay & Jah Films, a Film Company based in Pensacola, Florida.
Melisa was a former Media Presenter for Image Jamaica Media, a Jamaica based media company. She has interviewed many international stars including the Fastest Man Alive, The Hon. Dr. Usain St. Leo Bolt and many other Olympians including Shellyann Fraser-Pryce, Alia Atkinson, and more in Jamaica at the RJR National Sportsman and Sportswoman of the year Awards 2017. She's interviewed the Former Prime Minister of Jamaica, Hon. Portia Simpson Miller; and had an off-air interview with the current Prime Minister of Jamaica, The Right Hon. Sir Andrew Holiness, OC, PM.
She has lived a purpose-filled life, but Melisa has always had an even bigger vision of being a Humanitarian to aid the lost and hungry and to rescue Human Trafficking Victims worldwide, because she is a Trafficking Survivor, who’d rather use the term, Trafficking Conqueror.
God has brought her passions together and her vision to life through her own ministry, Healing Hearts Global Outreach Ministries, with the mission, “To give a voice to those who have lost their voice or have had their voice taken away”. Healing Hearts will be an umbrella of ministries that are currently being birthed to life. Melisa uses her testimony as a vehicle to educate, edify, empower and cause a catalyst in society.
Melisa declares, "What is wrong with the world, should no longer be accepted as the status quo. Peace, order and proper Kingdom functionality can be restored if we all stand together for what is right and dismantle the root causes of what is wrong".
